The Hamburg Institute for Advanced Studies (HIAS) invites applications for the HIAS Summer School 2026, taking place 5–11 July 2026 in Hamburg, on
“State, Religion, and Family Law in Comparative Perspective.”
The Summer School is aimed at early career researchers working at the intersection of law, religion, and the state, with a particular focus on family law.
Led by Nadjma Yassari and Nathan J. Brown, the program offers an intensive interdisciplinary research retreat, combining scholarly exchange, peer discussion and feedback on individual projects.
