The Library of the Swiss Institute of Comparative Law is a so-called "consultation library". This means that no books can be borrowed. Nevertheless, recognising the need for mutual assistance, we do provide Interlibrary and International Loans (ILL).
The costs induced by international loans are to be carried by the requesting library. The fees are to be paid exclusively with IFLA Vouchers or Reply-Coupons (CRI).
We can lend documents from our collections, with the exception of the following :
- Reference books
- Texts of legislation and jurisprudence
- Periodicals
- Loose leafs
- Ancient books
- Certain rare books (hardly replaceable in the event of loss, i.e. some works from Latin America, Asia, Africa)
Document Delivery
For all our documents, copies can be sent via e-mail within 24 hours. The fees applied are as follows:
- For Foreign libraries, one half IFLA Voucher or 6 International Postal Union Vouchers (CRI) per 20 pages or per article in a collective work.
We also take part in the Service ILL RERO open to Swiss and Foreign libraries. The registration form is available online.
